My name is Traci Blume. I am 19 years old and I am from Republic, Missouri. I was born in Anaheim, California and moved to the Ozarks when i was 3 years old. I attended Republic schools from k-12 grade and I am now currently in my second semester here at OTC. Since i am from the area i see a lot of familiar faces here at school which is nice and makes it easier to adjust from high school.
I was very involved in the high school band at Republic. I was a member of the colorguard for 2 years and was the drum major my senior year. I made a lot of friends in band. I made friends that are forever friends. The band was like a 2nd family to me. I miss it a lot but I great memories and great friendships to remind me of the good times. I am very greatful for all the friends that I have made over the years.
I am blessed with the best family anyone could ask for. My family means the world to me, they know exactly how to cheer me up when i'm down. I am also blessed because I find my identity in Jesus Christ and I rely on Him to get me through tough situations. I would say i haven't had the smoothest path through life so far and i use God and my family to get through the situations that knock me down. One thing that i fight on a daily basis is my hair loss disease called alopecia. It isnt easy to know that i am losing my hair but I am reassured by the fact that I was created exactly how i am for a purpose.

sorry to hear about your hair loss, my 10 year old is having issues like that as well they have not figured out why she is losing her hair, but she is sensitve to catching things. its good that you have a strong family back ground to support you in your life and when you are down. not many people are blessed with that so it is really nice to hear that. wel i hope you have a good semester. :}
Love to see that even though you are in a bad situation your able to be positive about it!Its hard but when you have Jesus it really makes it so much easier.
I think it's awesome that you were drum major in your school band! That's a really good accomplishment :)
I'm not alone in class I'm also from Republic!!! I don't think we have met before but your name sounds very familar. You also would have been in band with my girlfriend do you remember a Lindsey Barnes?
I know how you feel about creating another family through school. I miss that too, it seems to be like with any sport in school, your around them so much! Haha

Hi Traci! My son-in-law was just recently diagnosed with the same thing. I hope they find a treatment or cure for it. Both my daughters were in band and one of them was a color guard also and she loved it. Good luck this semester!
Uh Oh Tracie- we're in for a fun semester! Krystal and I had Mr. N for English 101 last semester, and she told me to come find you! haha!
She and i are now a geocaching team and its her fault that i know about Munzee too!
You are a beautiful girl with lots of time ahead to make dreams come true. You have your faith right where it needs to be and that makes me smile for you!
And hey- hair is just hair- your spirit will outshine any troubles you have!
