Dustin Lambert - Intro

Good morning, my name is Dustin Lambert and this is my third year and last semester at OTC.  I am the old guy sitting in the very back, chugging coffee and yawning. This is the second time in college, the first time was University of North Texas, broadcast journalism was my major.  I did not allow any studying to get in the way of a good time at a very diverse liberal arts college and that turned otu to be a short-lived experience.  I have worked in tattoo shops, wildlife conservation, and heaps of machine shops and construction.  I began OTC in the culinary program but decided after two semesters that I absolutely hated it and began working toward a transfer degree for a Mortuary Science program, fun right?  This is my last semseter here (Milwaukee or Ohio, havn't decided yet).
Besides school Im a boring guy most of the time I collect vinyl, enjoy live music, microbrews and drawing.  This is the best picture I can be bothered to provide at the moment, Im not on Facebook and I'm not in the habit of taking pictures of myself.  I think that should be just about 200 words.  Ta-da

Hey Dustin!
I love your intro. Working in a tattoo shop is probably one of my top ten jobs! If i wasn't restricted by my income I am pretty sure all I would do is get more tattoos. Collecting vinyls also caught my eye,I have my dad's entire collection! I don't usually get the pleasure of meeting people who appreciate vinyl!

I like how you started it off. It definitely made me smile :). I think working in a tattoo shop would be cool but I know that I wouldn't be good at it.
Well I hope you have a good semester and congrats on it being your last semester.

Hey Dustin, I see we have a couple of things in common, we are two old guys in class and this is also not my first rodeo in school either. Wish you luck in your future endeavors.

Hey Dustin! You seem like a very funny person! Best of luck to you as you try to figure out where to go next! I'm on Facebook and it is overrated, you really aren't missing much! Have a great semester!

Okay Hi again, Im going to start with the last comment and work my way up. pssh.. I know Im not missing anything with Facebook. I am a fairly private person and a tiny bit anti-social and social media has never appealed to me. Woot, for being old Marvin, Working in a tattoo shop was horrible, it killed my creativity when some mullet-hed would come in and just pick some random flash off the wall. That and being abused by the real "artist-scab-vendors" made me cut the apprenticeship short. Its not something many people think about working in an environment like that. Yes, I love records. I collect first-wave ska and garage band/ trash/ psychobilly from the 50s with a fair amount of punk thrown in, Thanks for your posts

Ahhh! Another student who supports the Great Nation of Texas!! ;-D
Spent some time in DFW and i swear Texas is THE best state in the nation- for many reasons-Music is one, good food is another and the Cowboys are of course the most important!

Collecting vinyl is awesome! I would love to come upon a vintage record player one day, as I am a music fanatic myself! You strike me as a 'music snob'- Haha! In a good way that is. Many people like yourself have taught me what i know and i consider it my most sacred education ever!
